In April 1995 Anna and George bought "The Chideock House Hotel and Restaurant" and successfully traded under that name for many years. Anna and George still own and run the establishment but have now down-sized to become the "Chideock House B&B" with only three letting bedrooms and with no restaurant. However whether you are old customers revisiting us or whether you are new customers coming to experience the delights of West Dorset you will receive a warm welcome into what has now become a part of our home.
Bedrooms
Our three letting bedrooms are individually decorated and furnished; they are all fully en-suite (one with a bath and two with showers). They are fully equipped with TV, seating areas, and free Wi-Fi (sometimes of questionable strength). We endeavour to make your stay with us as comfortable as possible and ask you to let us know if you feel that we have missed some "essential element" from your room.
Breakfast
We provide breakfast in our oak beamed dining room located in what was once our bar. We generally serve breakfast between 08.30 and 09.00am although we are happy to accommodate other (reasonable) times to suit personal requirements. We serve what we consider to be a traditional "English" breakfast comprising fruit juice, cereals, a cooked breakfast (of egg(s), sausage, bacon and tomato), toast and tea/coffee all locally sourced where possible. Again we are happy to accommodate particular dietary tastes where possible, although prior knowledge of your requirements will help us greatly.
Pets
We are pet friendly, although we prefer to know beforehand if you are bringing your pet with you as we have a large dog ourselves who likes to "meet and greet" all newcomers. We do ask guests to please bring their own pet bedding and not to leave any pet unattended in the bedroom.
Arrivals
Arrival is generally after 4.00pm, and we do ask for prior notice of late arrivals. Check out is by 10.00am on the day of departure. Again late check outs are generally not a problem, but we do ask for prior knowledge.
Payment
Please note that payment is by cash or cheque only as we no longer have facilities for card payments.
